The Certified Nurse Assistant, under the direction of the RN, cares for all age groups and assists with all aspects of custodial care, such as activities of daily living, monitoring of routine vital signs, maintaining a clean environment, errands, and other department routine activities.# The Certified Nurse Assistant may also assist the RN and LPN with procedures which may not be performed independently by the Certified Nurse Assistant.#While performing routine tasks and procedures, the Certified Nurse Assistant gathers data and reports significant information about the patient to the RN and confers with the RN when necessary for direction and instructions.#The Certified Nurse Assistant documents as required by department, maintains established departmental policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection prevention standards and gives courteous care with respect to patient rights and privacy. Performs other duties as requested or assigned.# May be expected to work varying hours, holidays, and weekends.# # QUALIFICATIONS # EDUCATION:

Satisfactory completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course. # LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION: BLS - Obtains RQI BLS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 3 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements. Current Kansas C.N.A. Certification- per Kansas Department of Health and Environment#s Health Occupations Credentialing regulations.


EXPERIENCE:


CNA experience preferred, but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
