The Nursing Assistant

• Associate is the entry point for the Providence Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program. The program provides training and support for individuals with no, or very little, direct healthcare experience. The successful applicant is provided an educational program that prepares the Nursing Assistant

• Associate for state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Once the Nursing Assistant

• Associate is validated on all skills and has completed the education and clinical content of the program, the Nursing Assistant

• Associate is advanced to the Nursing Assistant

• Journey position. Upon completion of the entire apprenticeship program, and one year in the Nursing Assistant

• Journey position, the Nursing Assistant

• Journey is advanced to the Nursing Assistant

• Senior position.

Start date of Mid-July 2024

Full time 36-40 hours weekly (may include weekends)

Required qualifications:

• National Provider BLS

• American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Preferred qualifications:

• No direct healthcare or patient care experience required. This is an entry level position that will provide the education and experiences necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Alaska.
