Benedictine Living Center of Garrison (BLCG) is currently offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for starting full time (.80 FTE or higher) employment as a CNA. The employee must be actively employed and in good standing to receive the bonus at time of payouts. "Active" also means not having submitted a resignation for a future date. "In good standing" means not having received any formal disciplinary action, such as a written warning, during this time period. The associate must still be in their original hired role and working full-time in order to continue receiving the bonus payout.

Responsibilities

  • CNA-NAR provides direct patient/resident care and report condition changes to RN or LPN while also charting in POC system.
  • CNA-NAR demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison includes the services of a 22-bed CAH, a 28-bed skilled nursing facility, an attached rural health clinic, and a newly remodeled emergency department that is available 24 hours a day. We offer many outpatient services, including physical therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, cardiac rehabilitation, and IV treatments. Responsibilities Works under the supervision of Administration, and in conjunction with CHI St. Alexius Bismarck and CHI Midwest Division leadership. The Director is responsible for total delivery of patient care and all nursing staff development. Directs implementation and ensures compliance with regulation and standards of ND State Nurse Practice Act. Develops policies & procedures to serve as guidelines that promote health care delivery in accordance with the Mission and Philosophy of the Facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensure compliance with licensure, credentials and CPR certification. * Select qualified nursing service personnel and ensure adequate orientation. * Assess quality of care rendered by nursing staff and coordinate facility Quality Improvement Program. * Enforce employee health requirements & Infection Control practice. * Review incident reports and employee injuries. Investigate and direct appropriately. * Respond to emergencies and function as a staff nurse. * Delegate responsibilities within legal guidelines based on capabilities of co-workers. * In the absence of the Administrator, assume administrative authority for all areas affecting patient care. * Assure development of programs, policies, and procedures that respond to the changing times in healthcare. * Acknowledge problem situations and initiate action to resolve. * Terminate employees who do not provide care consistent with GMH values and policies. * Perform evaluations, administer discipline and counseling. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Masters degree preferred. Licensure: Current license as a registered nurse in North Dakota. Experience: Supervisory experience preferred. Skills: CPR certification. Manual dexterity and mobility. Competent in use of equipment used in patient care, and well as office computer programs. Interpersonal Skills: View work as a team effort. Must have positive and effective communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers. Physical Effort: Physical Demand is medium.
