• Position Summary

• The Endoscopy Technician assists the registered nurse and the physician by performing support duties associated with general endoscopy and other special procedures. Provides daily care of special equipment and instruments as well as other support duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Endoscopy Technician must work effectively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, and Ancillary Services to provide quality patient care. This position may require working all shifts.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: N/A

• License/Certifications: N/A

• Experience: Surgical technician or C.N.A. preferred or person with patient care experience. On the job training will be considered. Previous experiences as an Endoscopic Technician or Surgical Technician, with knowledge and competence of aseptic techniques and universal precautions. Persons with patient care experience willing to be trained on the job.
