Job Description:

Sign-On Bonus offered: $500 for Part-Time and $1,000 for Full-Time!!! In additon to new higher wages commensurate with experience!

River Ridge at Avon is seeking caring and compassionate CNAs to join our team! We have FT and PT opportunities available on all shifts. As a CNA the primary focus will be to provide nursing care to residents in a home like setting. CNAs interact directly with residents by assisting with daily living needs by providing quality resident care as directed by the Resident Care Director.

Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities will include:

Interacting with residents and families on a daily basis
Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents have an exceptional stay
Following the Resident Care Standards and Practices to ensure proper procedures are followed
Assisting with their meals, transferring them using appropriate assistive devices, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming

Job Requirements

Valid CT CNA license required
Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
Understands quality of care objectives
Understands quality of life objectives
Previous experience working with people with dementia a plus

VIEW JOBS Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: The certified nursing assistant works under the direction of a licensed nurse and is responsible for the delivery of personal care that promotes the resident's ability to function at the highest possible level. The role shall respect each resident's rights and recognizes the individuality of each resident. All care shall be delivered at a level that meets or exceeds the resident's expectations. * Understand and implements the current plan of care for each assigned resident. * Renders resident personal care to the assigned residents including and not limited to shower/bath, shampoo, perinea! care, oral hygiene, nails short and clean, and ensure adaptive devices are worn (e.g., dentures, hearing aids, glasses, etc.) * Escorts residents' to/from the dining room for meals, serves and collects trays, feeds residents as assigned, record intake and supervise those residents who need assistance. * Toilet residents regularly and as needed. * Provide appropriate perinea! care for incontinent residents per protocol or more often if necessary. * Apply the designated urinary device as assigned (e.g. Texas catheter) and give Foley catheter care per protocol. * Collect urine or stool specimens when indicated. * If a resident has a physical restraint, check restraint per protocol. * Ambulate or provide Range of Motion (ROM) exercises , or reposition the resident in accordance with the resident's plan of care. * Assist with the distribution of nourishments when assigned. Record intake and output of residents being monitored. * Responds immediately to resident alarm devices. * Responds to resident call lights within five (5) minutes of activation.
