POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides professional and technical skills to provide safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the

patient care areas.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma and CA Certified Nurse Assistant Course

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year nurse assistance experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE: CA C.N.A. License and AHA BLS/CPR

REQUIRED COURSES / COMPLETIONS: Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months

of hire.

UNIVERSAL (STANDARD) PRECAUTIONS:

Standard precautions will be observed in order to prevent contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Under circumstances in which differentiation between body fluid types is difficult or impossible, all body fluids shall be

considered potentially infectious. All blood or other potentially infectious material will be considered infectious
