Amgen is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our team and work from Amgen's Cambridge, MA campus. To learn more:

The Sr Project Manager will be responsible for integrating and understanding Process Development activities by developing and maintaining product project timeline across the commercialization lifecycle within Amgen's commercial portfolio.

Duties Include:

The Sr. PM will lead cross-functional teams within Process Development across all modalities and across all commercialization stages as needed.

They will partner with technical leads to identify key deliverables, ensure cross functional alignment, and execute plans. They are expected to proactively manage plans to meet deliverables with their teams.

Partnering with key Product Delivery Team stakeholders, the Sr. PM will need to understand the Clinical Development Plan and strategy to enable alignment with clinical and commercial targets

The Sr. PM will draft timeline scenarios to enable/adjust project execution across multiple development paradigms to inform portfolio decisions

Ensure teams active, aligned communication in functional and cross-functional management reviews and governance meetings

Assist PD in driving decision making and communication

Establish and manage collaboration and team sites. Track delivery and create repositories for all PD deliverables

Project reporting including appropriate risk analysis

Partner with Business Analytics and functional partners as needed to provide data

Facilitate and incorporate lessons learned, standard methodologies, etc.

Support Business Process improvements, including alignment with the Commercialization Office

Leading/coaching a team of project managers supporting various products and projects with overall responsibility for a portfolio of projects

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management experience


Master's degree and 4 years of Project Management experience


Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Project Management experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of Project Management experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree with 4 or more years of projects management experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 6 or more years of project management experience.

10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other Healthcare related field, direct CMC experience is highly desirable

Ability to cultivate collaboration and work effectively on cross-functional teams

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interface across all levels of the organization

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Apply standard Project Management tools, and practices; experience with MS Project, Excel and SharePoint highly desirable

As the leader of Regulatory CMC, overall responsibility for regulatory CMC activities supporting the development and commercialization of Sage's products, with a focus on developing and implementing CMC regulatory strategies. Will need to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to develop and implement strategies to support product approval in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Roles and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) * Preparation and review of CTD Module 3, QOS and other CMC documents in support of regulatory filings * Regulatory review and approval of cGMP documentation * Regulatory CMC Lead for regulatory interactions * Manage and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, including annual and periodic reports * Act as primary regulatory representative at internal meetings, such as governance meetings, as well as at meetings with business partners and regulatory agencies for all CMC related issues * Assess and communicate CMC regulatory requirements to ensure all development activities are in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines * Mentor and establish development plans for Regulatory CMC staff in addition to managing contract staff Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, ability to identify issues and raise to key stakeholders in order to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations Basic Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs related to development of pharmaceuticals with a minimum of 4 years in Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) regulatory environment, CNS experience preferred * Bachelor of Science in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related pharmaceutical science), advanced degree preferred Preferred Qualifications * Established working knowledge of regulatory guidelines and regulations (US and international). * Regulatory experience working on small molecule drug development programs. * Strong knowledge of eCTD elements and structure and regulatory writing skills. * Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders.
