We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Patient Monitoring Specialist to join our practice!
Physicians East, PA is a multi-specialty, multi-campus group based out of Greenville, NC offering a wide range of specialties. In addition to primary care the practice offers pulmonary and critical care medicine, rheumatology, dermatology, oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, surgery, urology, and urgent care. Our 102 providers and over 600 employees provide services for thousands of patients in a 29-county region. Our specialists are on staff at ECU Health, a 900+ bed, level one trauma center and the primary teaching hospital for the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine (ECU-BSOM).

Location & commitments
Full Time CMA role based at our Greenville Endocrinology practice location, Monday-Friday, 7:30a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Early and late hours may be required. Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care of, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner. Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Supervision Received: Reports to Clinical Supervisor; Operations or Clinical Manager.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to bodily fluids.
Typical Working Conditions: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
About the role: Licensed medical professional that specializes in overseeing the clinical aspects of remote monitoring programs. Responsible for assessing patients' health status, interpreting remote monitoring data, and coordinating care with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement remote patient monitoring programs tailored to the needs of patients.
Assess patients' suitability for remote monitoring based on their medical history, condition, and clinical needs. Educate patients and caregivers on the benefits of remote monitoring and enroll eligible patients.
Monitor patients' health data and vital signs transmitted through remote monitoring devices.
Review and analyze data trends, alerts, and abnormal readings to identify potential health concerns or changes in patient status.
Respond promptly to critical alerts and escalate issues to healthcare providers as needed.
Provide patients and their family/caregivers with educational material and coaching.
Completion of required paperwork and documentation within mandated time frame.
Maintaining professional care clinician responsibilities by setting appropriate boundaries, complying with expectations and productivity standards, and seeking managerial consult, as needed.
Comply with all on-boarding, annual and other mandatory training as assigned.
Maintain HIPPA compliance.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Maintains patient confidentially.
Keep management informed of high-risk situations.
Demonstrate appropriate use in cleaning of equipment.
Practice infection control, following OSHA guidelines and office policy.
Maintain CPR certification.
Attend fire safety classes, clinical meetings, compliance, and other continuing education classes as offered by Physicians East.
Adheres to department and office policies.
Candidate requirements
Graduate of an accredited CMA program with a current valid CMA credential good standing.
Experience in electronic medical records (EMR/HER) software required.
Professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and interact professionally with others.
Ability to actively listen.
Ability to observe and to draft a narrative account of events accurately and cogently, in grammatically correct English.
Ability to spell, proofread and edit written text.
