DuPage Golf is looking for a Clubhouse Associate to come be part of our team at Greenway Tap in Addison, Illinois. Greenway Tap tops the Best American Restaurant List for the Western Suburbs, and is honored to be awarded "Diners' Choice" from OpenTable! The restaurant is located within a brand new modern clubhouse with dining room, full bar and outdoor terraces overlooking the award-winning golf course, The Preserve at Oak Meadows. Job Summary

This position assists in the daily operation of clubhouse activities and leads staff in the daily food and beverage operations at multiple District golf facilities. Specific job duties vary based on business/operational needs and include the ability to work effectively with others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as shift supervisor or lead worker for the Food and Beverage staff at the restaurants, bars, on course outlets, and during golf outings and special events.

• Train assigned staff and coordinate schedules. Enforce policies and procedures related to the sale of food and alcohol. Provide assistance to staff to facilitate Food and Beverage operations.

• Greet and provide information to clients, customers, the public, and other internal and external contacts regarding District rules, policies, and activities.

• Balance cash drawers, reconcile credit card transactions, and deposit daily receipts.

• Conduct and maintain inventory, receive products and supplies, and enter data. Organize and maintain stock room and storage areas.

• Prepare dining areas, verify kitchen/bar conditions, and ensure adequate stocking levels for events and daily food and beverage operations. Lock premises and operate alarm system.

• Perform administrative tasks and customer correspondence utilizing word processing, database, spreadsheet, golf management software packages and office equipment.

• Assist supervisor with the selection of staff, schedule, train, provide guidance and communicate day-to-day work activities, department expectations, and work rules. Relay and provide input regarding work performance, training needs and growth opportunities while promoting morale.

• Foster a working environment that promotes safe work habits; Become familiar with and observe all applicable safety rules, policies, and work procedures; Follow all safety rules that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the District's safety and risk management program; Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards; Immediately report all unsafe conditions and incidents.

• Maintain a supportive working environment and demonstrate a desire to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.

• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of hire.

• High School Diploma/GED.

• 1-3 years of related experience in food and beverage operations including general office work experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Food Handler Certificate in Sanitation issued by the State of IL and Certificate from the Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training (BASSET) within thirty (30) days of employment.

• Valid Driver's License in good standing.

• Must have and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or obtain upon hire (training provided).

• Knowledge of food and beverage operations including state and local laws.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• Ability to maintain complete, accurate, and organized records.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with the public, vendors, elected officials, and staff.

• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of retail operations as well as point-of-sale systems and computerized reservations.

• Ability to conduct and plan financial reports and recommendations.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects while interpreting and applying complex written and verbal instructions.

Schedule: 40 hours or more per week. Days and time differ from week to week pending on business flow. Likely to include weekends and holidays.

Pay: $20.43 - $22.99.
