Club Manager (JB4703)Franschhoek, WC (Suitable for candidates in Franschhoek only)R15 000 to R20 000 a month CTCPermanentA rapidly expanding national business with clubs across Gauteng, Northwest, and the Western Cape is seeking dedicated and experienced Club Managers, particularly those with a background in tennis, badminton, or any other racket coaching experience, to oversee day-to-day operations and coaching. The role involves ensuring operational excellence, high levels of member satisfaction, and effective team management. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Club Manager will play a critical role in driving the club's growth and success, managing everything from staff and facility maintenance to member engagement and local marketing initiativesMinimum Requirements:Experience in Sports Management, Business Management, or a related field (e.g. sports clubs, gyms, events or similar)Strong leadership skills with experience managing teamsExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailFinancial acumen and experience managing budgetsRacket sports experience is a plus, especially if coachingMust have your own vehicle and be available at the club on-demand / on-callDuties and Responsibilities:
Operations Management:Oversee the daily operations of the club, ensuring all facilities are maintained to the highest standardsManage the club’s schedule, including opening and closing proceduresHandle bookings and coordinate eventsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations
Staff Management:Lead and manage the club’s staff, including the Front of House Hosts and coachesCreate staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all club activitiesProvide training, support, and performance evaluations for all club staff
Member Experience:Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and guestsManage and respond to member inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional mannerOrganize and oversee leagues, tournaments, and other member events
Basic Financial Management:Manage the club’s budget, including expense tracking, revenue reporting, and inventory managementOversee the pro-shop, including sales, stock levels, and product offerings
Marketing & Community Engagement:Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local marketing strategies, including social media promotions and event marketingDevelop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and community groupsPromote club activities and events to increase membership and engagement
Facility & Equipment Management:Ensure that all courts, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained and in good working orderOversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the club, including court surfaces, nets, and common areas
