Position: Club Lounge Concierge
JOB OVERVIEW:To attend to the daily functions of the Club Lounge and to provide information and assistance to all Club Lounge Level guests and hotel guests as requested. To ensure that the daily food and beverage service in the lounge is maintained and served to brand standards.
REPORTS TO: Front Office Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist guests with their food and beverage needs while in the concierge lounge.
Provide information to guests about:
Local areas (e.g. social, cultural, historical and physical attractions), location and hours of operation.
All hotel facilities (e.g. the hours of operation, location, daily and weekly events).
Local area's restaurants and theater/musical productions
Airline, automobile rental, transportation directions, office services, and beauty/barber establishments.
Provide positive and professional interaction with all guests and team members
Make reservations and arrangements for events, transportation, local attractions, restaurants, etc. as tours as requested.
Procure services, provide information and reserve services and/or use of bonded babysitters, reputable athletic clubs, etc.
Comply with unit and brand procedures and standards for check-ins, check-outs, cash handing, etc.
Assist guests with other requested services (e.g. mail, faxes, etc.)
Meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Adhere to hotel's safety and security policies and procedures particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma preferred but not required.
One (1) year experience in full service hotel preferred
Starwood Hotel experience is a plus

Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.

Ability to communicate effectively and politely in all forms including written and oral.
Ability to compile facts/figures in a timely manner, identify and investigate issues, and resolve basic matters.
Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
Consistently exude professional behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient and simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities.
Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work is normally performed in an interior hotel environment. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, processes requests and operates office equipment such as a telephone, calculator, computer, copier and fax. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing and/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses.
