Los Angeles based h.Club is looking for a Club Bars Manager.

Scheduled to open in early 2019, h.Club LA will be London's h.Club debut US extension, a vibrant home away from home for creatives to the West Coast. Located on the iconic corner of Hollywood and Vine, h.Club LA will encompass five floors of spaces designed to host and showcase creativity.

The second venture for the group will have onsite health and wellness facilities, a live performance space, bedrooms, a creative workspace, curated outdoor spaces as well as lounges, bars, a member restaurant and a screening room.

As a member on our team, you will be fully responsible for the overall operation and administration of the Club bars, and will work to make sure the beverage experience is consistent and enjoyable for all members, by:

  • Providing strong leadership and clear direction promoting a strong culture of service excellence and teamwork.

  • Creating a unique and relevant seasonal cocktail program and constantly developing the beverage concept. Keeping abreast with the LA scene, including hotspots, new openings and trends; using key learnings to maintain local relevance of the Club beverage concept.

  • Maintaining a cost effective beverage program consistent with Club standards.

  • Securing LA suppliers and partners across all area of beverage supply & procurement.

You will bring this experience and skillsets

  • High school diploma or GED; 6 years' experience in the food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years' experience in the food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional

  • Experience of managing P&L and budgetary controls within a Private Members Club and/or high end F&B operation

  • Proven track record of growing F&B profits and controlling costs

  • Experience of managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams in a Private Members Club/high end F&B operation

  • Proven track record of leading, building and maintaining high standards of customer care within their organisation

  • Strong team leader capable of motivating, inspiring and directing a strong management team in a high energy environment

This position is responsible for the overall management of the Food and Beverage operation and ensuring its overall success while supporting the management team as needed. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities &amp; Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To run and oversee all F&amp;B operations within the Club including In Room Dining services.</li> <li>Implement monthly team and individual training sessions. </li> <li>To lead and attend Management training and meetings as required. </li> <li>Oversee the food menu served throughout the club-design, tasting, service.</li> <li>Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities. </li> <li>Responsible for LA Health &amp; Safety compliance in the F and B department.</li> <li>Responsible for Mystery Shopper Reports and staff development.</li> <li>Liaise with maintenance department to ensure all areas are in perfect condition to ensure smooth service and design standard of Soho House. </li> <li>Liaise with other managers in relation to wine and cocktail training. </li> <li>Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of Soho House, liaising with cleaning Supervisor that your teams are aware of their responsibility in respect of prevention and action in the event of fire in accordance with the Hotel's fire plan and current legislation. </li> <li>To be instrumental in the recruitment and training of new staff.</li> <li>Maintain staff product knowledge and up selling skills. </li> <li>Ensure the standard of service provided to each guest is to the Company's defined standard.</li> <li>Ensure that the agreed standard of personal presentation is maintained at all times by the staff. </li> <li>Ensure the Company's Health &amp; Safety policy is adhered to at all times. </li> <li>Ensure that new staff turn up for their induction. </li> <li>Set up monthly staff committee meeting with HR department. </li> <li>Gather members’ feedback and forward to membership and GM. </li> <li>Organize staff training matrix, and liaise with HR department. </li> <li>Prepare F&amp;B manager's schedule.</li> <li>Participate in Duty Manager Program as required.</li> <li>Be an active member of the Fire Safety Brigade. </li> <li>Any other duties as directed by the GM.<br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Oversee all managers and staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage at all times</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Upholds Mystery Shopper guidelines and all Service Standards.</li> <li>Reports to work as scheduled, in proper attire, well groomed, and ready to be in position.</li> <li>Manage staff in all aspects including, recruiting, training, schedules, payroll, staff complaints and disciplinary procedures.</li> <li>Assess staff performance, conduct appraisals, and strategize for improving staff performance.</li> <li>Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers and guests.</li> <li>Maintain a positive attitude to guest requirements – attentiveness to service, responding positively to guest’s needs, ensuring timely resolution.</li> <li>Resolving staff issues/concerns, ensuring follow up.</li> <li>Properly communicating with other departments regarding daily activities/issues.</li> <li>Supporting staff with service when and where necessary.</li> <li>Monitoring staff schedule to accommodate business needs on a daily basis.</li> <li>Ensure that the health and safety policy (I.e.
