Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Club Operations or Club Services Managers or Club Supervisors, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Welcome guests to the Health Club and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience
Maintain the weight and cardiovascular fitness areas; ensuring equipment is clean, functioning properly, re-racked properly and used according to the guidelines of the facility
Ensure guest members are aware of all programs and fitness classes available
Instruct guests in use of equipment and provide basic fitness information
Maintain attendance records and ensure all guests have registered in the facility
Assist in promoting the facility and organize special events as required
Collect soiled laundry in bins
Sort linen
Load washing machines & set for proper cycles
Wash and dry loads of linens
Fold linen by hand and/or with folding machines
Distribute linens to locker room/pool deck/tennis towers
Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and supply stock of the public areas of the Club (ex: locker room, restrooms, lounge, coffee station, etc)
Ensure shower stalls are free of debris and ready for use
Maintain shower dispensers
Monitor bathroom stalls for supplies and replenish
Maintain vanity areas, hair dryers and all dispensers
Maintain full knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure that they are followed for all incidents, accidents and emergency situations
Record all Lost and Found articles
Ensure the Health Club area is clean and well maintained
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Previous experience in a Health Club preferred
Hourly Rate: 23.63 USD Gross per hour

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):
Frequent walking and standing throughout shift
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
