Taos is immediately hiring people to join our Cloud/DevOps Boot Camp at our corporate office in San Jose, CA!
Who you are:
You are between 1 and 5 years into your technical career and are looking to expand upon your Cloud and DevOps knowledge. You are a problem-solver that is motivated and passionate about your work. You are always looking for ways to get your hands on the latest technologies and undertaking side projects every chance you get. You are a fast learner, able to build on your existing skills and easily gain new knowledge.
What youll be doing:
  • Learning in Taos Labs from a tailored curriculum designed to broaden your DevOps/Cloud skills
  • Working in a self-paced environment to achieve various certifications, work on projects, and collaborate with peers while receiving training and mentoring by some of the most influential minds in IT
  • Attending meet-ups, workshops, trainings, pop-up events, conferences and network with industry professionals as part of your curriculum
  • Interviewing with our clients in the Silicon Valley area for consulting roles
    • Once an opportunity has been solidified we will start the transition process out of Boot Camp into your Taos Consulting position
  • Earning certifications and receiving training in AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Terraform, Python, Golang, Red Hat Linux, and more
  • Participating in Taos Mentorships with Senior DevOps consultants
  • Receiving training in Professional Skills and Interview prep
  • Earning a comparative salary you will get paid to learn!
What youll bring with you:
  • A consultant mindset - flexible, adaptable, strong communication, and a drive to learn
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a relevant position (i.e. Software Engineer, Software Developer, System Administrator, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, etc.)
  • 2 or more of the following skills:
    • Solid Linux Fundamentals
    • Strong programming/scripting skills with one or more languages (Python, Go, Ruby, Java, Bash, etc.)
    • Automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD)
    • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Cloud (Public, Private, or Hybrid)
Details of Position:
  • Location: San Jose, California
    • Relocation assistance is provided if outside the Bay Area
  • Salary: Market value (dependent upon experience) with full benefit package
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday Friday

Cloud DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer We are looking for engineers who want to make a lasting impact on our enterprise grade Kubernetes offering, Cisco's Digital Networking Architecture, also known as Cisco DNA. What You'll Do As a Cloud DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer you will guide internal customers on how to configure and deploy PaaS infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, billing and more. You will collaborate with Solution Architects on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal scaling including CDN design, load balancer setup, caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration and delivery pipeline, and more. You will interface with internal customers to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower them. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and constantly drive excellence in our products. In this role, you are the Platform Engineer working with Critical internal Platform Consumers. Experience handling internal or external-facing engineering, solving technical issues and working with engineering, Operations and services teams and customers.
