Technology Fellow-Cloud Engineering

Technology Fellows are our most senior, preeminent technology leaders, who are sought after to pioneer our most challenging solutions and architectures. A Technology Fellow's "highest and best use" is focused on making use of elevated expertise to navigate complex technology efforts.

As a Technology Fellow in our Platform & Infrastructure practice within the Cloud Engineering domain, you will assume a pivotal role in orchestrating our clients' transformative journey from on-premises or co-location to the Connected Edge. Our diverse clientele spanning various industries is consistently pursuing novel outcomes for their business. Whether they are embarking on the deployment of cutting-edge NextGen Industry 4.0 solutions, enhancing operational efficiencies, reshaping the retail landscape with futuristic store experiences, or integrating AI/MLOps seamlessly into the core of a Public Utility Network - your principal responsibility will revolve around empowering clients to harness the complete spectrum of transformational capabilities facilitated by Advanced Connectivity (including 5G, LTE, and WiFi 6/7) and Edge Computing to realize these outcomes.

Throughout this process, our goal is to amplify the existing capabilities of Cloud by infusing real-time connectivity, bolstered security measures, local-compute functionalities, and rapid scalability that the Edge paradigm offers.

Responsibility Summary

As a vital member of the Platform & Infrastructure team, you will collaborate closely with Deloitte practitioners across diverse Market Offerings to actualize client objectives. Your role will extend beyond conventional expectations, requiring you to offer profound subject matter expertise and evolve into the client's trusted advisor in the Connected Edge domain. This involves taking the lead or providing support to Deloitte's technical teams, guiding them in architecting, building, deploying, and managing platforms and services within a hybrid-poly cloud environment.

The scope of engagement is expansive, cutting across various industries, leveraging technologies from our extensive network of partners, and instigating positive disruptions in business paradigms. Your responsibilities extend beyond the project to also encompass mentoring and coaching, playing a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of talent in the Connected Edge space. As a thought leader you will also be expected to help shape Deloitte's PoV on critical technologies matters in Connected Edge

Qualifications

Highly Desired

• 10+ years of Technology Consulting experience, providing architectural and technological guidance for platform development and market-ready services.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in deploying Edge Computing solutions (On-prem/MEC/Managed) internally and for external clients.

• Strong of Edge Computing, covering Connectivity (5G, Private Network, Ethernet, Fiber, etc.), Workload Management, Security, and Observability.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major Hyperscaler platform (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.)

• Proven track record of developing and publishing thought leadership content and delivering impactful presentations at industry forums.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• Ability to travel 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

• Experience in deploying Edge Computing to industries such as Retail, Manufacturing, ER&I etc.

• Experience with Next-Gen use cases that leverage AI/ML/GenAI etc. to deliver industry solutions.

• Association with relevant Industry Forums and SDOs such as ETSI, LF Edge, GSMA etc.

• Abreast with the latest and innovative technologies in connected edge.

• Formal training/certification in modern Architectural principles and patterns.

• Understanding of Identity and Access Management, user and system authentication methods and certificates, tokens, and certificate management.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as a Service, Infrastructure as Code, and related concepts on the public cloud.

• Self-starter with in-depth hands-on work experience with large-scale implementations of public cloud platforms.

• Project management experience, ensuring successful project deliveries, client satisfaction, and strong stakeholder relationships.

• Knowledge of standard sales disciplines, specifically solution presentation and RFP management.
