YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.

  • Analyze system requirements and ensures that systems will be securely integrated with current applications.

  • A deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

YOU BRING

  • Experience in Cloud platform and its features, setting up instances, virtual private cloud (VPCs), and security groups

  • Ability to set up databases using RDS, storage using S3 bucket and configuring instance backups to S3 bucket

  • Excellent knowledge on Java/J2EE and also the ability of developing Shell Scripts, PERL scripts and Ruby scripts

  • Expertise in writing Terraform templates to deploy various cloud environment infrastructures like Dev, QA and UAT

  • Expertise in DevOps, Configuration Management, Cloud Infrastructure, Automation, Build server deployment

  • Experienced in implementing AWS services in a distributed computing environment

  • IAT Level II, Secret Clearance, Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 6 years of experience

The goal of this project will be to assist the U.S. Transportation Command and its components (Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC)) in its enterprise, business and solution architecture goals. Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, this role will accomplish day-to-day task management from key stakeholders. Responsibilities The Lead Enterprise Architect shall work to integrate strategy, business, and technology planning methods with an ability to understand, analyze, justify, and communicate the solution of EA problems to USTRANSCOM and its components. Provide enterprise, business and solution architecture support to develop and oversee the technical blueprint for the USTRANSCOM enterprise, assist in the translation of functional capability into the functional and technical architecture for that capability, help lead the definition of the EA framework, and provide governance support over the implementation and management of that framework. The work also entails coordination with data and engineer contractor and government leaders to design, implement and utilize architecture products within the organization. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or higher in related field with 12 years' experience. * Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the planning, design, development and implementation of enterprise system, including enterprise logistics systems * Experience providing enterprise-level IT and technology architecture support in a DOD environment across a complex IT architectural portfolio * Experience with strategic development, creation and delivery of enterprise architecture products * Strong business acumen to align organizational mission and strategies to IT solutions * Strong knowledge of DoDAF * Strong knowledge of BPMN * Familiarity with other architectural frameworks * Familiarity of other architecture modeling techniques and tools * Expertise with Microsoft tools to include MS Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint * Senior level EA certification (e.g., Enterprise Architecture Certification (CEA), Certified Services * Must possess an active Secret Clearance, for which you must be a US Citizen Desired Qualifications * Experience establishing enterprise functional and technical architecture design patterns and technical reference architecture and providing subject matter expertise to implement governance of that framework in the DoD. * Experience analyzing or developing DoDAF-based business architecture models. * Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write and edit a variety of general business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, training material, proposals and position papers. * Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, be articulate, and be proactive. * Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast-paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks based on guidance from senior leadership.
