Cloud Systems Administrator, Senior Associate

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD. Our Cloud Systems Administrators conduct the following tasks:

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems

• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems

• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

• ProvideTier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems

• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Qualifications

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience as a systems administrator is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics is required.

• Three (3) additional years of experience can be considered in leu of degree.

• Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required.

Desired skillsets:

• Advanced knowledge of SSH tunneling and protocols including the implementation of dynamic SOCKS proxies as well as other ssh-based utilities, including rysn, pdsh, pdcp, and WinSCP.

• Basic understanding of low level network concepts including vlans, port channel bonding and layer2/layer 3 switch interactions.

• Familiarity with software load balancers for large scale webservice implementations including haproxy and nginx.

• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration services and Docker images.

• Experience with log aggregation and search tools including ElasticSearch, logstatsh, filebeats, Grafana, and rsyslog.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
