Job Description

esVolta is seeking a motivated and energetic candidate to join our team as a Cloud Systems Administrator, reporting to the Director of Information Technology. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of IT systems administration and systems implementation experience. Power industry experience and familiarity with NERC standards and cybersecurity requirements are preferred. The Cloud Systems Administrator will oversee the Company's daily IT systems administration, using Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and Azure AD, SSO, Intune and other Cloud-based systems such as Box.com. The position will also be responsible for administering Exchange email, SharePoint, including all the Microsoft 365 online product suite. Strong skills in this area are required, along with managing Data storage, backup/recovery, and security of critical company data. Ability to support the end user community and provide exceptional internal customer experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage licensing for Microsoft 365 and related applications; SharePoint, Teams, etc. and security using ADFS SSO and multi-factor authentication.

  • Supports and coordinates the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes and software updates.

  • Supports virus and Spam control using industry standard Antivirus systems and other tools deemed necessary and work with third party vendor and resources where necessary.

  • Participates in the development of policies, procedures and resources that standardize the functioning and the security of all IT systems.

  • Administers security measures to restrict unauthorized use of IT systems.

  • Enforces IT standards and educates employees about compliance issues and concerns.

  • Support data back-up, recovery, and data archiving.

  • Assists with management of DNS, website, and other internet/intranet related systems.

  • Builds, configures, and installs hosted network server hardware and software systems.

  • Able to create and implement PowerShell and other scripts to be applied to Microsoft 365, Azure AD via GPO and Software Management tool to accomplish and automate various administrative tasks.

  • Administration of MS Azure and knowledge of products in the Azure ecosystem such as Databricks, Kubernetes, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Java, API services, Power BI and related data analytics services, a plus.

  • Maintains service logs, incident logs and support documentation.

  • Provides support to the entire organization, desktop hardware, software applications, and training.

  • Keep up to date with the latest technology trends.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in computer information systems, Management of Information Systems or a related degree; or equivalent education or work experience.

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or higher (MCSA/MCSE) preferred and/or ComptTIA Cloud+, Professional Cloud Administrator.

  • Significant knowledge of or background in integrating online systems and application software.

  • 5+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft infrastructure.

  • Ability to evaluate critical systems, prioritize work and determine solutions.

  • Ability and patience to explain complex technical matters to individuals possessing varying levels of computer/networking literacy.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • 3+ years of experience in: MS Azure, Data Warehouse, Active directory, GPO, and administration of shares and systems permissions; MS Exchange Server; TCP/IP; Desktop Management Tools; Performance Monitoring Tools.

  • Prefer experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SSO, SharePoint administration, Backup Software; Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection; Windows Defender.

  • Ability to be available 24/7 (including nights, weekends and holidays as needed).

Compensation

The annual salary plus bonus range for this position is listed below. The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Cloud Systems Administrator Salary $110,000-$130,000 Bonus 20%

Location

  • Flexible, option to work-from-home with periodic office visits for in-person engagement or to work from company offices in Newport Beach, California.

  • Requires ability to travel to company offices, project sites and business meetings as needed.
