Cloud Specialist

Overview

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a full time Cloud Specialist to join our IT team. The Cloud Specialist will be responsible for helping shape the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot as well as other cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operation and optimization of cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in some or most Microsoft cloud technologies, system administration, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help to design, deploy, and manage Microsoft related cloud infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and best practices.

• Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

• Optimize services such as Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.

• Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment and operation of cloud-native applications on Azure.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure and Microsoft 365 infrastructure and services.

• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards for Azure and Microsoft 365 operations and administration.

• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing to make recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the IT team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud platforms, preferably in an Enterprise environment.

• Strong understanding of Azure architecture principles, including virtualization, networking, and storage.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of Azure resources.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams administration.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
