Auria is looking for a full-time Cloud Solutions Engineer (Hybrid) to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO or El Segundo, CA!
This position supports the US Space Forces Space Systems Command, Operational Command, and Control Acquisition Delta, known as Kobayashi Maru. Kobayashi Maru is responsible for continuously delivering impactful software for space operations. The program offices mission includes the development and deployment of software for space defense, space domain awareness, and enabling data services.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000
Responsibilities:
This role is primarily focused on the management, administration, and optimization of the Kobayashi Maru Platform and Infrastructure technical Baseline. This included baseline management of the:
Hybrid cloud environments at multiple security classification levels
The data layer
The messaging systems
Networking
Version/configuration control of the deployed/hosted software
In this position, you will be expected to:
Understand each component and document the complete architecture of the current hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure implementation
Provide comprehensive recommendations for improving and optimizing the existing solution
Enable successful accomplishment of performance objectives for scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, efficiency, and observability
Have a deep understanding of the major components of the hybrid cloud solution including the principles of GitOps, effective implementation of DevSecOps, operations within a hybrid cloud environment across multiple security domains, optimizing messaging systems for distributed architectures, as well as effective data processing, storage, and retrieval solutions
Document architectures, dependencies, interfaces, workflows and processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with multiple teams responsible for implementing each component of the hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure to ensure their alignment with enterprise level objectives and roadmaps, to understand blockers, report status, and collect metric
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a cloud engineer or DevOps engineer or software systems engineer
Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, STEM, or IT from an accredited institution
US citizen and possession of a current Secret Clearance
Your resume must demonstrate:
Expertise with cloud computing platforms and their services within various security domains
Deep understanding of the concepts and principles of Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
Comprehensive knowledge of data processing and storage technologies
Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks, with an emphasis on cybersecurity
Familiarity with reading and creating network diagrams
