Providing advanced reporting and well data management applications, which specialize in Drilling, Completion and Workover operations. WellEz delivers database web applications allowing operating companies to enter remote field data then access this data instantly from anywhere. Behind this simple web-portal is a powerful database that houses operations information enabling users to run advanced analytical reports. In addition to data collection, storage, and analysis, WellEz provides automatic report generation and distribution. These applications are built on a .Net platform extended to mobile devices.

Scope

WellEz dominant market sector is the small to mid-sized operating companies, the new role will be to grow the well reporting service business further into the independent US based operating companies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prospects through networking and outbound hunting, progress leads through the sales cycle, assist account managers building rapport with new customers

  • Have a full and comprehensive understanding of the WellEz solutions.

  • Able to give product demonstrations and be fully competent in navigating the application.

  • Accountable for meeting sales targets

  • Some domestic travel required

Required Experience

  • 3 4 years sales experience in the upstream Oil & Gas service or software sector, with specific exposure to the mid-sized operating company.

  • Experienced in consultative selling techniques.

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of Drilling, Completion and Production operations. Rig / Well site experience would be highly desirable.

  • A verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Have developed a good working relationship and trust with Drilling Managers, Production Managers and engineers in the target sector.

  • Negotiation able to successfully negotiate contracts to a mutually agreeable resolution.

  • Closing Skills able to progress the sale, maturely handling objections through to a close.

  • Service- strong client service orientation. Responds promptly to client and team needs; solicits feedback to improve service.

  • Problem Solver- able to clearly understand problems and propose solutions; ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.

  • Relationship Skills- excellent interpersonal skills; energetic, able to develop productive relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Computer Literacy should be highly computer literate, specifically using web based tools, very proficient in MS Excel and knowledge of Salesforce is desirable.

  • Team Player - dedicated team player who considers others' opinions and adapts to change effectively.

  • Dedication to Goals - personally motivated to support the company's mission and goals; creative, flexible; able to work both independently and in teams to think imaginatively about opportunities; to respond to novel and innovative approaches to addressing an issue; to inspire others to work towards achieving team goals.

Role Summary: Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Drilling and Completion Fluids Scientist based in Houston, TX. In this role, you will serve as a laboratory scientist in the drilling and completion fluids test lab. This Scientist will perform laboratory testing in support of drilling and completions fluids operations with a primary focus on core analysis, core preparation, return permeability, and the maintenance and repair of the return perm equipment. Field support will include identifying and solving various problems related to drilling and completion fluid properties and maintenance. Fluid formulation and testing will be carried out to support customer proposals. Some product development work may be required. Essential Responsibilities: * Plans and performs testing to support field operations and commercial bids for moderate to high complexity projects. * May be lead chemist/scientist on challenging projects with some functional supervision. * Conducting return permeability testing including equipment repair and maintenance. * Core evaluation, core preparation, and developing fluid recommendations to minimize formation damage. * May participate in vendor interface. * May work closely with sales to help support customer. * Operates with some latitude in making autonomous decisions. * Selects scientific techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations. * Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications. * Helps develop new methods and products. * Handles special projects, as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience * 10+ years of experience in Drilling and Completion Fluid applications. * Familiar with running return permeability testing including return perm equipment repair and maintenance. * Familiar with core handling, core evaluation, and developing fluid recommendations to minimize formation damage. * Capable of designing return permeability equipment * Drilling and Completion Fluid Field and Laboratory Experience desired * Familiarity with Baker Hughes Drill-in and Completion Fluids is important * Knowledge of API testing procedures for drilling and completion fluids. * Knowledge of water- and oil-based drill-in fluids. * Ability to resolve complex problems with broad scope. * Ability to communicate well individually and in team environment.
