Essential Responsibilities:

Resideo Global Infrastructure Servers (GIS) has oversight over the Enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and engineering for Resideo worldwide. Resideo is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) who will lead the design and engineering of the Resideo's footprint in Public (AWS and Azure) cloud. Extensive knowledge of AWS and Azure services offerings and architecture design skills are essential. Primary responsibilities will be to drive Resideo Enterprise IT Cloud first strategies and recommend industry best practices for cloud implementation, provide solution design and deploy effective cloud solutions. This core focus area's will include but not be limited to cloud based services, architecture, operational support, build troubleshooting, remediation, configuration, refresh and migration.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the Enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and engineering for Resideo worldwide.

  • Lead the design and engineering of the Resideo's footprint in Public (AWS and Azure) cloud.

  • Extensive knowledge of AWS and Azure services offerings and architecture design skills are essential.

  • Drive Resideo Enterprise IT Cloud first strategies and recommend industry best practices for cloud implementation, provide solution design and deploy effective cloud solutions.

  • Focus area's will include but not be limited to cloud based services, architecture, operational support, build troubleshooting, remediation, configuration, refresh and migration.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor or MS Degree in Computer Science.

  • 3+ years of Cloud Architecture experience.

  • 5+ years of IT experience.

  • Experience with Cloud Orchestration frameworks, Enterprise IT service provisioning tools, and their role in IT transformation, such as AWS CloudFormation and Red Hat Ansible.

  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, aPasS, DaaS.

WE VALUE:

  • Hands on experience with all aspects of Identity Access Management (IAM)

  • Experience with Cloud Security Principles, Policies, and Compliance.

  • Experience developing software using API calls, microservices, serverless computing.

  • Hands on experience building large scale application deployments, standard three tier web applications, big data and analytics workloads.

  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure technologies (server, network, storage, load balancing clustering, etc.).

  • Hands on experience with Chef, Puppet or similar configuration management tools.

  • Operating Systems Experience - Windows Server, RHEL, CentOS.

  • Experience developing APIs.

  • Experience with software defined everything and IT automation.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professional verbally and written.

  • Development within a hybrid cloud environment.

  • Experience developing automated deployment scripts and tools for system provisioning and configuration.

  • Experience using DevOps tools and processes; creation of CICD pipelines

  • Hands-on experience with Python and bash scripting.

  • Experience working directly with customers in a consultative capacity.

  • Energetic, motivated and calm under pressure.

  • TCO Analysis, consumption trending and cost controls experience with AWS or 3rd party Cloud Governance Solutions.

  • Ability to work in team environment on assigned tasks and large projects.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.

  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate and/or Professional.

  • Other relevant certifications: CCNA, Network+, MCSA/MCSE, etc.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in data engineering projects, software development, and dev-ops processes.The candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data engineer who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The candidate will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our company's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives. Job Duties: * Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from external APIs for analysis, store in data stores that are scalable, secured, and accessible by other services in the organization * Work with Security to implement and maintain data privacy and integrity to stay in compliant within the legal data framework * Work with Data Scientists including the Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data mobility & infrastructure needs * Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics * Ensure up-time and disaster recovery with latest technologies YOU MUST HAVE: * Extensive experience in software development, micro service architecture, and design driven development * Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases * Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets * Experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management * Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift * Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. * Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. * Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Teradata, Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, etc. • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Mongo. * Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services * Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. * Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores. * BSc/BA in Computer Science or equivalent.
