Cloud Software Engineering, Advisor

ResponsibilitiesPeraton has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD! You will have a primary focus on supporting all aspects of agile software design and development for a product running on large scale compute clusters, to include development of new capabilities, testing, optimization and performance tuning, operation, and sustainment functions. You will be responsible for addressing requirements and support ongoing modernization activities. This role has an expectation for after-hours / on-call support.Other duties may include: * Implements, tests, and operates advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. * Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security. Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise. * Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. * Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation. * Consults team members on secure coding practices. * Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required * Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD* One of the following certifications:* AWS Certified Developer --- Associate* AWS DevOps Engineer Professional * Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)* Elastic Certified EngineerCore Conpetencies and Skills:*
