In the Office of Information Technology, the Cloud Services Systems Engineer is tasked with developing an operational services infrastructure that produces a twenty-four by seven (24/7/365) digital service delivery platform. The Cloud Services Systems Engineer also manages and develops an IP pure protocol converged network infrastructure that provides a 99.999 redundant architectural design/capacity.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in computer science, Engineering, Technical, Information Systems, Education, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience working with automation tools such as Docker, Packer IO, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and/or Capistrano
Experience scaling web server environments such as Apache, Nginx, Node/Express, Ruby/Sinatra.
2 years of professional experience in back-end support for mobile applications (iOS, Android)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels (senior management, technical/business-oriented project staff, users, and stakeholders)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team for the completion of IT projects
Excellent skills to quickly analyze data and troubleshoot on the expert level
Possesses skills for architecting, developing and supporting REST and WebSocket API's for ECES' systems
Excellent working knowledge of Relational and NoSQL Databases, Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, and Networking
Excellent skills with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
