Aurora's Cloud Security team's mission is to design and build security capabilities for Aurora Services. Aurora makes extensive use of public cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code technologies. This role is focused on designing and implementing security infrastructure and controls into AWS to create a mature cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will partner with our Infrastructure team, and in some cases with development teams that own individual services.
In this role, you will
Support the team in building security infrastructure and controls in AWS
Create automation to solve security problems at the root
Be part of a strong security team of 50+ with the opportunity to grow your skills and understanding of security
Work with open source tools such as Anchore, Trivy, Open Policy Agent, Gatekeeper, Spire, CloudQuery
Required Qualifications
3+ years experience in working in security and public cloud infrastructure
1+ years experience in one or more domains in security:
Identity & Access Management
Detection & Response
Vulnerability Management
Experience with AWS security controls or equivalent cloud security experience
Fundamental understanding of threat modeling, network security, OS security, AWS security best practices
Ability to develop code independently in at least 1 scripting / programming language
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and writing and reviewing Terraform
Experience with microservices and containerization
Experience with Kubernetes and the related eco-system
Understanding of Devops/Devsecops concepts and CI/CD tooling/pipelines
Experience with Go, Python, SQL
The base salary range for this position is $164k-$246k per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
