Cloud Security Architect

Pay Range: $85/hr on W2 (conversion salary: $145k yearly), Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation and hardening of cloud environments by clearly establishing the account boundary and implementing a defense-in-depth approach.

• Engineer, and maintain complex AWS cloud environments.

• Configure, collect, and provide analysis-support for AWS logs from different sources such as platform logs, and other AWS logs.

• Ensure best practices of security requirements are deployed for an information system; convert those practices into infrastructure code templates.

• Analyze scan results, and document findings for compliance in support of application and platform teams' remediation effort.

• Assist the cyber incident teams as necessary.

• Comment on new HITRUST & NIST standards / regulations as applies to client environment

• Employ best practices when implementing security requirements and working on or in a system.

• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• CERTIFICATIONS:-AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Developer Associates, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Security+ (or a higher CompTIA+ certification), OCSP.

• Must have 4 years of experience with security engineering within an AWS Setting.

• Must have 4 years of experience with CI/CD tools and cloud-native capabilities within those tools

• Must have scripting knowledge with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and IaC languages or similar

• Experience with CI/CD and CI/CD containers and how to secure them

• Experience in applying security to cloud technologies (Managing secrets, Securing CD pipeline, Secure Infrastructure as Code, Container Security, DevSecOps and CI/CD Implementation.)

• Critical thinking skills
