Job Description: We are seeking a highly-motivated Program Management intern for our Cloud group.

As a Program Management intern, you will be supporting the Agile operations that support and bring our next generation of products to life. This requires applying systems engineering and Agile principles toward the integration, fault tolerance/performance testing, verification and launch readiness for Cloud operations and new product development. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work within a team to help manage Programs for delivering Cloud platform software supporting new product launches Support internal communication activities such as web based and presentations Participate in and help manage and analyze Agile development methodologies Determine the appropriate path for projects, organize and facilitate necessary team meetings, producing minutes, action items Participate efforts to assess issues, determine impact / priority, drive to root cause and lead teams to effective resolutions Explore innovative solutions built on key cloud technologies like GitHub, Kubernetes, NoSQL databases, and much more

Qualifications:

Student pursing a MS/BS degree in EE/CS/CE/Information Systems/Technical Program Management or similar Experience: Presentation and public speaking experience preferred Exposure to and ability to grasp basic technologies and engineering processes involved in software product development, especially in cloud Internship or co-op session with a software development organization preferred Candidate should possess strong personal discipline, history of exhibiting initiative and creativity, strong written and communication skills, analytical skills, and effective problem solving ability Bose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. In the Cloud Service Operations team we strive to painlessly onboard services, developed by Dev teams, ensure their stability and secure performance. We partner with the Quality team to effectively manage risks of the planned changes. We partner with the DevOps Tooling teams to foster automation and Developer Productivity. We design, develop, implement and constantly improve the proactivity, state-of-art monitoring, alerting, responding infrastructure and processes. We are co-responsible for the Stability, Security and Observability of the services, hosted on the Bose Cloud. The Service Operations team is seeking for you if you are: entrepreneurial and driven experienced in software and you know operations familiar with Cloud technologies and automation more than talk; you crank out the documents, procedures and how-to's that make the complex seem like cake someone who believes there is no problem that can't be solved without analysis root cause analysis is your favorite game cool under pressure a good team player, who can lead by example, sleeves rolled up understand SLO / SLI / SLA and can talk about them any time excited by modern technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Pulsar, Redis, Golang, Python, Jenkins, SQL & NoSQL DB's, Grafana, Prometheus and more Principle Duties and Responsibilities: support and promote SRE culture participate in problem diagnosis, triage and prioritization, qualification of fixes, and root cause analysis solve availability/performance problems and build software-based solutions to prevent re-occurrences design and develop automation frameworks and test suites to enforce SRE technics and tools, based on clear SLO/I/A implement metrics, monitoring, and incident response processes implement change management and capacity planning processes design and implement the risk management tools and process for Cloud Deployments champion the needs of operations develop and maintain effective customer relationships and listen to customers and addresses the needs and concerns Knowledge and Skills Pursuing BS in Computer Science or a comparable field of study, or equivalent practical experience Solution architecture and software engineering experience in an agile environment Experience working with one or more of: Go, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, Javascript Experience with Unix/Linux systems administration using the CLI Fundamental understanding of networking concepts and Cloud technologies; Experience with cloud-based distributed application scaling Experience in automated monitoring systems Experience with HTTP & JSON Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail-oriented, analytical mindset, perfection seeker This is a 12 week, summer intern position Preferred Qualifications Experience building systems on cloud technology (AWS, GCE, Rackspace, Openstack) Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery Experience with gathering/analyzing App/Host performance metrics A passion for automation and building self-healing resilient systems Good written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working on multiple tasks in an agile mode Bose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
