Summary of This Role
Drives the product vision for the assigned portfolio. Helps to shape the product roadmap based on client and user feedback, usage metrics and competitive research. Works closely with internal departments (Product Development, Services and Sales) and external stakeholders (customers and partners) to strategically improve the product portfolio. Manages the Product Life Cycle process for portfolio product offerings. Actively supports sales with expertise, consulting, tools, and collateral. Accountable for product P&L including revenue and profit growth for existing and new products in the geographic or vertical markets assigned. Acts as the products' champion within the company for portfolio product offerings. Accountable for definition of TSYS cloud value proposition and delivery model across Public, Hybrid, and On-Prem options. Responsible for crafting service offerings around overall cloud elements, DR/BC, SLA construct, and overall articulation of how the cloud service hangs together
What Part Will You Play?
Define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning and value proposition for our products as it relates to a cloud offering - consider all flavors such as private, hybrid, public etc.; Communicate the value proposition to stakeholders and continuously refine the value proposition
Understand Cloud service provider value proposition and how is gels with TSYS products and services to subsequently define the value proposition for TSYS' customers
Understand how the legacy mainframe products map to new cloud based micro-services
Acquire deep knowledge of the TSYS Issuer solutions and services, technical cloud roadmap for converting these product and services to Cloud and identify key areas of competitive differentiation
Create the packaging/bundling strategy for modernized services in conjunction with services that may stay on legacy platforms for some period of time
Consider various GTM structures in light of differences in client demands, markets, line of business etc. - what are the flavors of infrastructure models and which segments (market, customer type, geography etc.) do they apply to
Collaborate with stakeholders such as sales, product, regional pricing teams, legal etc. to select the applicable GTM structure for each segment
Refine the GTM structure as time passes based on client feedback and new information obtained (continuous improvement)
Own designing business models, channel strategy, target segments, customer profiles, and business case for relevant use-cases.
Leads the "big picture" of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, and process considerations, and creatively defines the GTM strategy to address those challenges.
Acts as a bridge between product managers and sales personnel as the cloud offering (value proposition) expert : be the expert on value and price differential between various flavors of modernized services (private, public, hybrid etc.), which approach to take for modernized services (all or none ), how much to customize offerings etc.
Obtain market data and competitive intelligence to inform our GTM strategy. Maintain industry knowledge and enhance subject matter expertise, identify trends and changes in client and competitor behaviors, and keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements.
Understand the implications of the product roadmap for modernized services on our GTM approach. Provide inputs to product managers as they make decision about which features to add to roadmap - tie together the solution to the underlying infrastructure component
Collaborate with marketing and product teams for content creation and messaging that reflects target markets and target personas
Provide product expertise and competitive intelligence on sales opportunities.
Work with the pricing resource to craft a pricing structure for modernized services
Develops and communicates a point of view on complex technical topics. Aligns multiple domains, both technical and non-technical, on this common vision.
Creating, articulating, and positioning an innovative and compelling value proposition so that TSYS customer executives clearly realize the benefits and transformational value of migrating to a TSYS+Cloud solution
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science or equivalent field from an accredited university is required; however, relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Typically a minimum of 8 years
Demonstrated track record in product development/management, preferably with cloud based SaaS products and/or with Agile methodologies such as User Centered Design, Lean Startup, XP, or Scrum. Solid business understanding of applicable global regulatory and compliance requirements.
Possession of a unique and balanced blend of business and technical acumen
Broad technical breadth including familiarity with public-private-hybrid cloud such as AWS, Azure, Google cloud, ; Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Applications Integration Principles
Experience as a cloud product manager, cloud product strategy manager or a similar role
Experience moving products to cloud-ready, building products that are cloud ready, packaging together of multiple cloud services in a cloud environment
Experience working(in any capacity) on migrating products from mainframe/legacy systems to distributed/Cloud.
Experience and successful modernization at large corporations (re-platforming, re-hosting and service enablement) in any capacity
Ability to design the future state and the path to get there, accounting for near-term product deliverables
Ability (and preference) to work in an Agile environment.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
Ability to level up & down messages, verbally & in writing (PPT, Word, Outlook), across organization.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
Experience in a SaaS type of environment
Knowledge of the distributed technology space: languages, frameworks, techniques, industry trends.
Experience working on pre-sales initiatives for projects involving a shift from on-prem to cloud. Experience designing patterns for moving from legacy environments to cloud and influence strategic direction
Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and familiarity with large projects decision making processes in enterprise customers.
Experience in sales or business development in the application modernization market
Understanding of developing business cases for large investments/projects.
