Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for leading American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Cloud Operations Administrator for our client in the Consulting Services domain. This is a Contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Hartford, CT/ Bloomfield CT

Compensation: Best Market Rates

Role: Cloud Operations Administrator

Primary Skills:
Hadoop

Role Description: The Cloud Operations Administrator would need to have at least 3+ years of experience.


Required Experience and

Skills:
  • Deployment and operations support for a Cloudera Hadoop platform.

  • Hadoop Administration.

  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS (here at Client Rhel 6.x ,7.x)

  • Strong knowledge of Hadoop stack (Ecosystem tools and core components)

  • Hadoop Core components: HDFS and YARN Client uses ecosystem tools such as Hive, Impala, Sentry, Spark, HBase, Oozie, Solr, Sqoop.

  • Good to have knowledge on Flume, Kafka and Zookeeper.

  • Basics of networking, CPU, memory and storage.

  • Basic understanding of Kerberos, TLS.

  • Basic knowledge on shell scripting.

  • Basic Java knowledge.

  • Plus to have: Experience with configuration automation tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible knowledge.

  • Responsibilities of current Hadoop ISG team: Implementing, managing and administering overall Hadoop infrastructure. (Deploy Hadoop cluster, add or remove nodes and CDH upgrades)

  • Setup Hadoop ecosystem tools as per business requirement.

  • Work with the database team, network team, BI team and application teams to make sure that all the big data applications are highly available and performing as expected.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years
