The mission of this group is to leverage world-class data science, machine learning, and cloud-connected technologies to envision and develop algorithms, and deploy them into compelling, engaging, and personalized user experiences using our products.

You will be responsible for helping drive applied research by conceiving, building and benchmarking machine learning algorithms for applications. Specific tasks may include research scoping, algorithm development, experimental study design and analysis, data mining, data visualization and gaining deep competency in cutting edge ML technologies. You will collaborate closely with other researchers within and outside the group to understand concepts and the underlying science and with Machine Learning Engineers to transition the results of research through concept prototypes into production-quality deliverables.

As part of the team you will evangelize a data-driven culture throughout the group and enable products grounded in science and powered by AI which make our customer experience better. Qualifications Currently pursuing a BS/MS degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related STEM field. Hands on experience with C++/Python/R/Scala/Java.

Hands on experience with Machine Learning tools like Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, pandas, SciPy, Matploltib. Hands on experience with SQL/NoSQL for large datasets. Hands-on experience with medium to large datasets (i.e. data extraction, cleaning, analysis and presentation) and visualization tools like Tableau.

Hands on experience with AWS services like S3, SageMaker, EC2, IAM etc. Experience using version control tools like SVN/Git. (Desired but not Required) Hands on experience with Deep Learning frameworks like Tensor flow, Keras, PyTorch etc. (Desired but not required) Experience using Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure. (Desired but not required) Experience with creating and maintaining containers (Kubernetes, Docker). (Desired but not required) Experience with REST APIs. Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain deep technical results to diverse groups of stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to learn about the current offering in this field from different chip vendors and influencing future Bose products. You will be interacting with an exciting community of Machine learning, Data Science and Embedded Researchers/Developers here at Bose. This position is well suited for Graduate Engineering students with EE or CS background and experience in Embedded algorithm development. It also requires a practical knowledge of Machine learning. Key Responsibilities: Research and survey Machine Learning Edge devices currently available in the market. Collaborate with a broader team in building a prototype with a chipset for ML inference on Bose product. Prototype machine learning deployment to these embedded devices. Machine learning models will be developed with Tensorflow. The focus would be on optimizing the models for inference on various ARM and DSP cores. Explore different Neural Network inference libraries. Qualifications: Experience in Tensorflow and/or other ML frameworks. Experience with implementing algorithms on ARM cores, Raspberry Pi or specialized DSP cores. Working knowledge of Linux environment, drivers, build systems for embedded devices is a plus.
