Job Description:
Provide network engineering IT and cloud infrastructure design. Coordinate with internal staff and vendors to design, develop network infrastructure to meet standards for performance, continuity, capacity, availability, and security including WANs, LANs, and data connectivity. Solutions will encompass connectivity to/from cloud, as well as cloud-based network technologies for software-defined networking solutions.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Collect requirements, Analyze, Design, Implement, Document, Test, Monitor, and Maintain data and communications network infrastructure including:
Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls including IDS/IPS/DLP systems
Data and Voice circuits
Integration and design of cloud infrastructure solutions
Design and placement of cloud-based network components
Network Security and Data protection.
Wireless LAN design and implementation (802.11a/b/g/n)
QoS
Assess networking and technology, analyze system performance analysis, plan system integration, develop specifications, and test and evaluate solutions.
Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation for all systems and infrastructure
Reviews and develops plans for network technology and monitors performance to ensure operating effectiveness in delivering information with budgetary constraints.
Assist in the planning and development of new technology to improve performance and productivity, reduce IT costs and improve profitability.
Design, implement and maintain systems access security, software and methodology and data integrity consistent with the security and DLP policies.
Develops solutions aligns with information security standard and procedures for networks, connectivity, systems, applications, and third-party systems and vendors
Design systems operated across multiple data centers on the 365x7x24 basis
Support and execute incident, problem and change management processes according to established policies and procedures.
Monitor system capacity and performance, perform preventative maintenance, and develop plans for long-term and short-term networking infrastructure needs.
Solve complex problem situations and participate in the identification of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures, or tools.
Develop and document best practices and procedures for installing and maintaining systems
Coordinate and execute of tasks within configuration management, change management, performance assessment, engineering analysis, and system integrations
Specific Skills
Strong knowledge of Routing Protocols: OSPF, RIP/RIPv2, IGRP/EIGRP, BGP
Data entry skills, mathematical and logical aptitude and general interpersonal skills are necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Accountability
Responsible for completion of all work assigned within the predetermined deadlines.
Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
Accountable for understanding and applying compliance and government laws and regulations related to the protection and control of sensitive data.

Required Skills:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Prefer a CCNA/CCNP certification or in process of achieving.
2+ years experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls including IDS/IPS/DLP system
2+ years experience with Juniper Routers, and Palo Alto Firewalls
2+ years of experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies including QoS tagging, Micro-Segmentation
4+ years of experience working with the design of network and enterprise infrastructure in a corporate environment, including presentation/review, change management, process alignment
4+ years of experience in a multiple data center operation
2+ years of experience working in a Software Defined Networking, public cloud, private cloud, and Hybrid connectivity

We are a proven designer-builder-developer that offers full vertical integration to our industry partners at all levels including project financing, construction and design on major P3 and APD projects. If you are a seasoned technical design manager or project manager with at least 3 design/build or General Engineering Consulting (GEC) transportation projects under your belt, and are passionate about design, we would like to talk with you! We are looking for a great leader to join our team; one that inspires loyalty and commitment, with experience in the capture process, and project execution process to lead technical teams across the Eastern US. At Parsons, you can work out of a home office or a Parsons office anywhere East of the Mississippi but will be required to travel extensively to project locations, which may vary from state to state. In this technically focused role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing win strategies, teaming and innovative solutions for major highway and bridge projects/proposals in the Eastern US. Upon award, the Design Manager will oversee the full technical scope of the entire Design/Build project, developing a detailed design schedule, and ensure the project has a successful start-up. You will be expected to support the design process through the project, overseeing and directing technical resources, monitoring the technical aspects of the project, coordinate with contractors and owners and perform design management functions through construction. Additional responsibilities include hiring/staffing and scheduling the design work to meet construction milestones, and regular interaction with the team to ensure engineering optimization of the design and prioritization of the design work. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with PE License. 20+ years of project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure projects (Road/Highway, or Bridge/Tunnel). Must have a proven track record of successful delivery in design/build project executions and/or GEC projects as the Design Manager on at least 3 Design/Build or GEC projects each valued at $100M in construction cost or preferably higher. Experience meeting operational business goals and strategizing on market development. Considerable experience in client management, win strategies and bid preparation. Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on similar or related projects. Must have considerable DOT and municipal agency experience with roadway/bridge projects. Must be willing to travel as necessary to other Parsons' offices and client locations. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Incumbent will go through the Parsons' project management certification process. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
