Job Description Job Description T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified Infrastructure Engineer to support the Hill Component Enterprise Data Center IT Operations and Maintenance Services program located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). This program aims to modernize legacy USAF network infrastructure and migrate services into a new AWS Cloud Environment. As the IPT Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of new technologies and systems into our organization.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. For any candidates not already local to the Ogden, UT area, T-Rex is offering a relocation support package to assist with moving costs. Join us in making a positive impact with our USAF customer Responsibilities: Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions to support the transition from legacy data centers to cloud environments.

Develop and maintain architecture blueprints for both on-premises and cloud-based systems. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with business goals. Cloud Transition & Management:

Oversee the migration of workloads to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Manage and optimize VMware ESXi environments. Implement and manage cloud resources using AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager.

Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using JavaScript, Python, and Bash to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Data Center Operations: Manage legacy data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Oversee backup and recovery solutions using tools like NetBackup and Cohesity.

Implement and manage monitoring solutions using SolarWinds and AWS CloudWatch. Compliance & Security: Ensure infrastructure complies with relevant regulations and standards, including authorization to operate (ATO) requirements.

Utilize security tools such as ACAS Tenable for vulnerability management and compliance tracking. Collaboration & Documentation: Use application delivery tools like Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes. Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Management or similar field 5 years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst or similar role Must possess an Interim or Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Bash). Knowledge of backup applications (NetBackup, Cohesity) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, AWS CloudWatch). Familiarity with application delivery and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence). Experience with compliance and security tools (BMC Discovery, ACAS Tenable). Collaboration and Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure engineers, application developers, project managers, and business stakeholders. Desired Skills: Preferred certifications:

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $126,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
