Position Overview

Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technology (PSET) team is hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with experience automating large-scale cloud services. In this exciting role, you will help us automate a robust and scalable data platform used by numerous teams across the company. Reporting to our Software Engineering Manager for Platform Infrastructure, you'll help us tackle tough problems and improve our platform's reliability, resiliency, and scalability. Responsibilities

  • Build data infrastructure that powers batch and real-time data processing of billions of records daily

  • Automate cloud infrastructure, services, and observability

  • Help improve observability into the health of our data infrastructure and understanding of system behavior

  • Implement initiatives across infrastructure, deployments, automation, and accessibility

  • Develop and implement security best practices at the data, application, infrastructure and network layers

  • Interface with data engineers, data scientists, product managers and all data partners to understand their needs and promote internal best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a large-scale infrastructure environment

  • Experience building code-driven infrastructure on public cloud platforms (preferably on AWS)

  • Programming experience with modular and maintainable code (ideally with Python)

  • Experience with automation frameworks/tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation

  • Good understanding with containers, bash, Linux, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code principles

  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience explaining technical solutions to a varied audience

  • Availability for on-call rotation support

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship or work experience

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $91,800 and $158,400. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
