Job Description:

The Cloud Engineer will work closely within the Development and Operations organizations to support the design, automation, deployments of infrastructure and middleware. Technical experience in building infrastructure and applications for scalability, resiliency, availability, and recovery is required. A key portion of job will be helping move from a traditional infrastructure deployment model to an infrastructure as code model with automation and monitoring via DevOps. Excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to work across teams to create optimal business solutions is required. Additionally, you should have the ability to effectively communicate with cloud computing vendors and service providers.


  • Design and implementation of cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure using industry best practices

  • Take ownership and provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud including:

  • Design, implementation and support of infrastructure automation

  • Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance

  • Assess and compare cloud native PaaS with cloud-enabled traditional infrastructure

  • Mentor existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption


  • 5+ years of infrastructure support experience (Infrastructure management, problem solving, SDLC process, solving real time production system issues etc.)

  • 3+ years of Linux

  • 2+ years of experience in AWS eco-system

  • 1+ years of Kubernetes and Helm

  • 1+ years of EKS

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Gitlab or equivalent

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Jenkins or equivalent

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Docker

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (Or other stateful CM)

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Nagios/Icinga/Elastic Stack/ Datadog or any monitoring tools

  • Exposure to Ansible or Chef or Puppet or Salt (Or other stateless CM)

  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (VPC, VNET, Route53, Azure DNS, ELB, Azure AD, S3, Storage Accounts, Cloud Formation, IAM, RMS, etc)

  • Knowledge of automating infrastructure in a cloud environment

  • Experience Scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solution Architect is a huge plus

  • Familiarity with networking equipment (load balancing/firewalls)

  • Familiarity with cloud based disaster recovery and HA system development

  • Experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation and management

  • Programming experience (Java, C#, etc)
