Required Education and Experience
7+ years of experience in IT, Information Security, Software Development, or Cybersecurity
4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
Experience with web application firewalls, penetration testing tools, and vulnerability scanning tools
General Requirements
Proficiency in application security and secure software development practices
Strong programming/scripting skills (JavaScript, Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of cloud security principles and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of networking and basic communications protocols
Familiarity with containers and container platforms
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM, CSSLP, CASE, CASP+, OSCP, GWEB, etc.)

Essential Functions
Conduct security assessments of software applications
Develop and implement security controls
Perform code reviews and recommend remediation strategies
Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
Design and implement authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards
Provide security guidance and training to development teams
Investigate and respond to security incidents
Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and technologies
Participate in security architecture reviews
Perform other tasks as required
