Job Summary
This position has a Hybrid status with on-site requirements averaging about once a month. Can be either at our Grand Rapids or Southfield location depending on residence.
Based upon user needs, and a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical systems and industry requirements, formulates and defines average to large project scopes and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems, considering software applications capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Participates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation procedures. Provides technical project management, often leading work on new implementations and upgrades of related systems, and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Documents and drives best practices throughout the system. Staff members in this position are effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Business Systems Analysts
Essential Functions
Drives business process improvements that support strategy optimization, rhythm of the business, and product/corporate systems advancements
Recommends process enhancements and automation opportunities to optimize productively and maximize ROI
Translates Cloud data and concepts, and communicates them to non-technical personnel
Supports complex business process redesign projects and cross-functional initiatives that are people-centric, strategically aligned, scalable, and quantifiable
Conducts analysis with stakeholders to plan and execute business analysis tasks and communication
Documents requirements using workshops, interviews, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis, prototyping, focus groups, and use cases
Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high-level information into details, and abstract from low-level information to a general understanding
Documents business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc., ensuring that these deliverables can be used to design a solution to the stated business problem
Defines acceptance criteria, identify, defect, define, and validate corrective actions
Supports the development metrics and key performance indicators to align solutions with desired business outcomes
Collaborates with stakeholders to have a shared understanding of requirements and provide stakeholders with access to business analysis work products
Serves as liaison and resource to project managers, leadership, and other project team members throughout each phase of the process to help clarify and/or resolve issues related to requirement, design, testing and acceptance specifications
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in the field
Experience working with AWS and other cloud technologies
Experience in Agile and software development
Preferred
Master's Degree or equivalent
7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives
Experience in systems development lifecycle including, requirements gathering and design within infrastructure
Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
Background in health care, sciences or information systems
