Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect and Engineer to join our IT team. This role combines the responsibilities of a Senior Systems Administrator and a Cloud Architect, focusing on the design, configuration, implementation, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure, with a heavy emphasis on cloud services and architecture.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in strategic capacity planning, network and system design, cloud services, datacenter integration, and project management.

  • Lead the design, deployment, and support of SaaS and IaaS solutions in both public and private cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

  • Manage systems integration and migration projects related to Merger and Acquisition business activities, with a focus on Active Directory and M365 systems.

  • Build, manage, and support system services including Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, MS Teams, Teams Calling, MDM, VMWare, Azure-hosted resources, and other industry-standard tools.

  • Implement and maintain endpoint device, software, and user configurations via Group Policy and 3rd party tools.

  • Design and execute the integration of cloud infrastructure, virtual footprint, and user identities into the acquiring company's tenant.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the integration of cloud identities and systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and ensure that the integrated cloud systems meet the organization's overall IT architecture and standards.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.

  • Develop and execute the company's Cloud strategy and lead migration efforts.

  • Allocate resources efficiently and ensure sustained operations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

  • At least 10 years of direct work experience within a Microsoft enterprise environment with progressively increasing responsibilities.

  • At least 5 years of experience with M365 including Entra AD, AD Connect Sync, Azure Resources, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Security and Compliance, and Intune.

  • Relevant Microsoft M365/Azure certifications would be an asset.

  • Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.

  • Advanced knowledge in system architecture, design, configuration, disaster recovery, business continuity, storage management, and performance monitoring.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and identity management.

  • Experience with enterprise-level cloud integration platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven experience in Azure cloud solutions and architecture.

  • Strong knowledge of IaC methodologies.

  • Familiarity with cloud security protocols and disaster recovery planning
