The Closing Service Coordinator acts in a liaison role for residential real estate closings, providing service and information to the closer and the client. Reviews and provides information, answers questions and monitors status to facilitate closings.
Receive and review information pertaining to residential real estate closings from title companies; schedule closings with attorneys using First American's proprietary operating system
Identify and communicate options to clients when original request cannot be accommodated
Communicate with clients and attorneys regarding real estate issues that may arise during closing, in order to facilitate the closing
Complete forms and maintain logs
Monitor and respond to emails and voicemail, answering questions and providing information
Obtain feedback from clients and borrowers to report to management for operational meetings
Participate in department projects as required
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
Strong customer services skills
Problem solving skills
Proficient with MS Office and Adobe products; FA operating systems
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Strong professionalism and presentation skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, including scheduling and follow-up
Familiarity with closing process, and basic understanding of real estate documentation, including deeds, mortgages, powers of attorney, affidavits, etc
