Job Description:

We are seeking a ClosingAssistant with 1-3 years of experience in office support. The ClosingAssistant's primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day support toClosing Officers with various functions. This is an entry-level positionand is an excellent opportunity to learn about the business for potentialcareer growth. The Bethesda office is highly productive and affords theopportunity to work closely with Originators and Underwriters on thestructuring and underwriting of transactions.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Support the Closing Officers -daily. Faxing/scanning/sending emails/preparing faxes/fed ex's/preparingcourier packages

  • Monitor Scheduling Calendar,i.e., delivery packages expected, date deliveries to be sent to Investor,settlement dates

  • Prepare and finalize alldelivery packages for review by Closing Officer and Closing Manager

  • Upload all final documents to Sharepointfor further upload to Enterprise

  • Prepare and circulate forinternal approval all DVP/Schedule I/Prospectus delivery

  • Coordinate w/ MBS Investor thedelivery of the DVP and Prospectus delivery

  • Respond to requests from

Originations, Underwriting, Asset Management and Servicing

  • Assist department, as needed

Skills, Education and

Experience:

  • B.A. degree from a 4 yearcollege preferred

  • Experience in FannieMae/Freddie Mac multifamily closing considered a plus

  • Highly developed organizationalskills

  • Proficient written/oralpresentation skills

  • Ability to problem-solve andexercise independent judgment while displaying a high degree of initiativeand accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability toorganize prioritize projects

  • Complete multiple tasks onschedule

  • Ability to work productivelyunder minimal supervision

  • Must be proficient in Excel,Word, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong work ethic andpro-active team player able to work effectively under sometimes stressfulconditions

The Underwriter's primary responsibilities will be toprovide day-to-day financial, market, and underwriting analysis of multifamilyloans. This is an excellent opportunity to be thoroughly educated about theunderwriting of multifamily mortgages, to have extensive contact with ourclients, and to train under the premier programs (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac).This position affords the opportunity to work closely with our Senior Creditteam and Originators on the structuring and underwriting of transactions. The position requiresprior asset management and DUS underwriting experience with extensivefamiliarity of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Multifamily Guides. Essential Job Duties: * Analyze, interpret, andunderwrite complex multifamily real estate transactions in compliance withrespective agency guidelines (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) * Conduct detailed economic anddemographic research to determine feasibility of transactions * Prepare and presentcomprehensive loan approval package to credit committee * Conduct comprehensiveinspections of physical real-estate assets on an as-needed basis * Interface with internal andexternal clients to evaluate Transfer and Assumption requests, identifyand manage client expectations * Review governing agreements andprogram requirements to ensure compliance * Determine scope of duediligence required * Collaborate with various teamsto ensure that internal and external client expectations are met * Maintain investor trackingsystems * Collaborate with AssetManagement/Servicing team on rating agency, Master Servicer and Agencyaudits * In consultation with counseland the appropriate credit teams, analyze and present the legal and creditconsiderations of proposed reorganizations of existing Borrowerstructures.
