The Closing Administrator is responsible for assisting the Closing department with respect to the daily duties and responsibilities of the Closing department. The Closing Administrator will work independently and along with other Closing Department personnel on pre-closing, closing, post closing and delivery matters. Other responsibilities will include tracking third party reports, uploading closing documents, tracking post-closing documents and maintaining and updating various databases, as needed.


  • Remit original recorded documentation to Investor/document custodian;
  • Assist Closers in the Committing and Delivery functions;
  • Disseminate applicable closing documents to next stage parties, e.g. closing coordinators, attorneys, borrowers, servicing, etc.;
  • Tracking third- party reports and post-closing documents;
  • Uploading closing documents required by New Loan Boarding;
  • Review New Loan Boarding delinquent reports and coordinate timely response thereto;
  • Assist the closing department with business needs as they come due.


  • High School Diploma, GED/equivalent certification or equivalent military experience; Bachelor's degree preferred;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional office environment, preferably in an administrative capacity;
  • Proficiency in computer applications using Microsoft Office Suite and Visio;
  • Excellent customer service skills (both verbal and written);
  • Must show good judgment, initiative, and decision-making abilities;
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, market-driven work environment, while remaining motivated and focused completing business critical duties;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team;
  • Detail and process oriented; motivated to maintain high degree of accuracy;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Must be flexible to assist with additional projects that are introduced based on the needs of the department;

VIEW JOBS 10/2/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-31T00:00 Position Summary The AVP – Closing Manager will oversee a team of Senior Closing Coordinators and AVP – Pipeline Manager. The Special Requests team reviews, analyzes, approves and documents various asset management transactions for loans in the Servicing portfolio. These transactions (also known as special requests) include, but are not limited to, assumptions, transfers of ownership interests, secondary/mezzanine financing, modifications, maturity extensions, partial releases, collateral substitutions, lease reviews/terminations, easements, SNDA's, condemnations and defeasances. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to 1) personally handle the more complex and high profile transactions; 2) manage the closing process to ensure that transactions are closed in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with the loan documentation, GSE Guides, servicing agreements and internal guidelines and 3) assist direct reports by reviewing and approving their credit memorandums on transactions. The AVP – Closing Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the AVP – Pipeline Manager's duties, including, but are not limited to, the generation of periodic pipeline and fee income reports, transaction assignments, responding the inquiries for request information for audits, and coordination with external servicers. This position will assist the Vice President – Special Requests in ensuring that procedures are thoroughly documented, system and process enhancements are implemented, and adequate training is provided to the staff. Responsibilities Essential Duties (Primary Responsibilities) include the following. * Perform closing of complex and high-profile transactions. * Manage and develop direct reports and team members in US and Hyderabad * Employee development of staff including goals as well as Learning and Development * Manage all escalated and/or complex issues. Elevate issues to Senior Management when necessary/required. * Manage relationships with external legal counsels, vendors, clients, investors, and internal customers. * Ensure teams are meeting all servicing and reporting requirements * Work with the direct reports to resolve ongoing issues and problems * Review and approval of the applications and disbursements of funds, in accordance with Berkadia's Policies and Procedures * Develop and ensure compliance of Policies and Procedures related to Special Requests * Execute other special projects and assignments as needed * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel * Experience with McCracken Strategy also required Skills and Compliance * Adhere to Berkadia's policies and exhibit proficiency and understanding of Berkadia's Values and position-specific skills. * Knowledge of the commercial servicing industry; servicing operations; contracts and continued training and experience * Highly organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to identify and resolve complex issues * Manage support staff for a process in US and India * Excellent written and oral communication and negotiating skills * Excellent research, organizational and analytical skills Excellent time management with attention to detail and solution oriented * Ability to work under pressure, adhere to strict deadlines, time management and high volume of work * Knowledge of Fee for Service; Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, HUD, government contract guidelines and requirements * Training and development of team members in US and India * Business travel as required for Business Development; conference attendance as well as managing client relationships.
