Clinician - Crisis Receiving Center

Overview

St. Joseph's Villa is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors and Clinical Social Workers to join our Crisis Receiving Center. The Crisis Clinician provides rapid assessments, interventions and effective linkage to next appropriate level of care for on-going stabilization for adolescents ages 5-17.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provides rapid assessments of behavioral health to include level of risk and substance abuse screening

• Implements and monitors stabilization and rapid discharge plan for each client

• Provide and oversees age-appropriate interventions

• Provide education of mental health issues, available resources and treatment options.

• Clear and thorough communication and collaboration of community partners, including law enforcement and first responders

• Maintains all appropriate client service documentation from referral through discharge with a warm-handoff

• Ensures timely and appropriate communications between all relevant parties, e.g. team members and professionals

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• MS degree in human service related field.
• LPC or LCSW preferred - eligibility for LPC or LCSW licensure required.
