Silverado is presently seeking a Clinical Unit Secretary to join our team.

  • High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.


  • One year of experience working with the public via telephone and in person.

  • History of working in health care, managing schedules, and a familiarity with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias is preferred.

  • Computer skills sufficient to manage a database and scheduling software are essential.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to calmly manage multiple demands.


  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

  • Ability to be "on-call" and respond to emergencies at Silverado.

  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.

  • Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related disease.

Daily/ Weekly Functions:

  • Attendance check, make sure fully staffed

  • Reviewing caregiver resident assignments

  • Receiving calling ins and Scheduling replacements

  • Review admission paper work and chart order

  • Review Yardi and check for accuracy

  • Review BM/shower logs for completion and follow up

  • Inventory and order supplies: incontinence, nursing, resident care

  • Check MARs and Narc logs for missing nursing signatures


  • Monthly weights: review for wt loss and gain

  • Make sure new BM/shower log completed prior to 1st day of month

  • Make sure staffing schedule completed by 15th of month for next month

  • Place Weight grid in dietitian book and monthly summary book

  • Keep track of all DME, make sure equipment is stored correctly and available to residents.

  • Review Resident Charts for accuracy and thin monthly

  • Prep charts for new admissions

  • Empty DC resident charts and send old records to storage

More than 250 Residents and Fellows are trained annually at CTHVCS, plus more than 200 medical students per year. Over 100 CTVHCS medical staff have faculty appointments. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The nature of work requires that the incumbent lives in commuting distance of Cedar Park CBOC. This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is a supervisory position. Medical Director Telehealth Programs at CTVHCS The Telehealth Clinical Director is a CTVHCS based leadership position reporting directly to the Associate Chief of Staff for Telehealth and CBOC Service. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, providing clinical and programmatic leadership to V-IMPACT Hub and assisting the spoke sites, leading the non-primary care telehealth programs at CTVHCS, and implementing new telehealth initiatives like VA video connect. The CTVHCS strives to provide high quality health via tele technology. The incumbent works closely with the leaders of clinical and administrative services to ensure optimization of resources, and delivery of effective patient care. Additionally, s/he participates in quality improvement initiative and may be assigned to serve on committees and/or attend meetings as necessary. The incumbent will oversee focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation and prepare reports for professional activities. The Medical Director is also responsible for making hiring decisions for providers and participate in hiring of other telehealth staff. Medical Director is expected to provide direct patient care 70 - 80 percent of the time.
