Job Description A team of data scientists with a unique blend of Business, Scientific, and Machine Learning expertise who seek to: Unleash the full potential al of AbbVies data assets by bringing technology and/or data and insights to the forefront of decision making via fit-for-purpose data analytics solutions Broaden the scope and impact of Analytics and Data Science by constantly exploring new opportunities to transform clinical development and R&D Collaborate with stakeholders to outline the problem, explore solutions, refine opportunities and deliver a product with a continuous innovation mindset Responsibilities : For assigned projects, works with the cross-functional team to enable fit-for-purpose analytics solutions. Works with team to ensure analytical work product is consistent across projects where appropriate and that user experience is optimized and follows the design principles and standards established by the team Leverages proven statistical methodologies and those methodologies established as standard by the team; in additionto leveraging proven statistical methodologies and standards established by the team, experiments and recommends additional techniques to solve business problems Qualifications Bachelors degree statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Masters degree preferred Must have 2-3 years of Data science and analytics-related experience. Oncology Therapeutic area experience preferred Complete or Full / Career proficiency in R, Python or other statistical packages. Intermediate-level knowledge of statisticaland data mining techniques Intermediate proficiency with visualization on tools like Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent Experience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferred Demonstrated effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in laymans terms Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively Additional Information Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes ingood faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range.
