Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct psychosocial assessments; coordinate, monitor, evaluate and advocate for appropriate services. • Maintain an active caseload of individual, family and/or group clients in order to meet assigned productivity level. • Develop appropriate person-centered treatment plan to address the client's current psychosocial, mental health and substance use issues. • Monitor and evaluate client treatment progress according to measurable and date-specific goals and objectives stated in client's treatment plan. • Ensure the timely completion of assessments, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries to ethically manage the beginning, middle, and end phases of therapy. • Provide individual, family, and group therapy. • Demonstrate the utilization of appropriate Evidence Based Practices in the treatment of clients. • Provide treatment in other modalities, such as Intensive Outpatient, RTC groups, etc., as assigned by supervisor. • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other service providers. • Complete documentation in accordance with policies and procedures. • Participate as an active member of the Saginaw Chippewa Behavioral Health Crisis/On-call Team. • Provide crisis walk-in services as assigned by supervisor. • Meet with clients in other treatment facilities, detention facilities as deemed appropriate by supervisor. • Participate as a member of clinical team that meets weekly in order to present cases for clinical feedback and direction. • Adhere to patient confidentiality and comply with clinic policies and federal regulations under the Privacy rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority. • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times. • Demonstrate a commitment to cultural programming by learning of cultural teachings, participating in and coordinating cultural activities for clients, and by providing continuous support for the enhancement of the culture, language, and traditions. • The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services or related field. • Limited licensed individuals who can obtain licensure within two years from date of hire. • Excellent computer and communication skills. • Must be willing to work a flexible/adaptable schedule as meets the needs of the program and clients served. • Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position. Desired Qualifications: • Full Licensure. • One year demonstrated mental health and co-occurring therapy experience with adults, youth, children and families. • Substance abuse certification (CAADC) or ability to complete within 2 years of hire.

License, Certification, or Special Requirements: • Obtain HIPAA certification within five business days from date of hire. • Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver's License with the proper designation required for the vehicle utilized to perform the job duties; must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Driver's License and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier. • Native American preference shall apply to all positions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of patient outreach services and activities. • Knowledge and understanding of clinical social work or mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards. • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and EMR. • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations. • Skill in making effective decisions in emergency situations. • Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with clients and their families. • Ability to integrate training, experience, and common sense sufficient to identify potentially dangerous situations to resolve the situation with minimum injury to self or other persons. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels. • Ability to represent organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence in the community. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
