ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: A rotating 40 hour work week, 7:00 am
4:00 pm, 3:00 pm
12:00 am, and 12:00 am
8:00 am, Monday thru Friday. Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all vehicles that are brought into the vehicle pool are safe, clean and operate properly.
Verify that Motor Pool and City Hall Motor Pool are dispatching equipment and vehicles to City employees.
Inspect all vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean and operating properly.
Maintain daily and weekly trip tickets and process and post on status board daily.
Compile reports for department head to review.
Performs minor mechanical repairs as needed and scheduling preventative maintenance.
Clean and maintain Motor Pool facility/working area and police grounds throughout the day.
Start facility fuel truck and check fuel readings by measuring availability.
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of six months to one (1) year of experience
ASE Maintenance and Inspection Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Must be able to pass a Police background check
A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
