What are the typical hours on the job?

The hours of operation for the Pediatrics practice are Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm. Your primary schedule will be during those hours, with periodic need to work outside your schedule to serve our patients.

What does a Clinical Team Lead do?

As a Clinical Team Lead, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinical functions, focusing on patient care, physician relationships, customer service and staff performance. Train and mentor new clinical staff and serve as a resource to all clinical employees.

What does a typical day on the job look like?

  • Monitors the daily activities of the team to ensure adequate staffing by maintaining the team schedule. Ensures team is accurately and efficiently completing all daily tasks. Serves as back up to clinical staff when needed.

  • Provides support and trouble-shooting to the clinical staff. Identifies training needs and provides training and coaching as needed.

  • Accurately documents patient care observations and activities, telephone calls and physician orders. Supervises work flow to ensure effective and efficient patient communication, referral process, patient flow and documentation of patient care.

  • Ensures clinical staff work and communicate effectively with all physicians and providers. Promotes teamwork and customer service.

  • Audits various reports to ensure team is meeting quality and efficiency standards, as well as ensuring team members are maintaining access to appropriate insurance and healthcare systems. Performs all other duties as assigned.

What are the requirements for the job?

  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered or practical nursing, or certified program of medical assisting.

  • Current Missouri RN or LPN license or certificate in medical assisting from an accredited program; must be in good standing

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in physician office setting and of 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.

  • Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines and have strong organizational and time management skills. Working knowledge of computerized scheduling systems and EMR system.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.

  • Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
