Job Description:

As a Clinical Team Lead in conjunction with the Clinical manager, you will be responsible for the coordination the day to day operation of the clinical team at Advanced Care Scripts. Further, with input from Clinical Manager, you will provide day to day oversight of the other members of the clinical appeal team, RN, assessing tasks that require clinical oversight, assigning work to appropriate clinical staff member and ensuring that all clinical tasks are completed in a timely fashion. Some other critical components of this role is providing expert clinical guidance to clinical appeal staff and other ACS staff, training and mentorship to new clinical appeal staff members, and collaborate with physicians and their staff as needed to resolve clinical issues, obtain clinical data or prescriptions. Also you maintain nursing Continuing Education Units (CEUS)and seeks continuous learning opportunities.

  • Practices with professionalism and accountability as an employee of ACS

  • Provides weekend and after hour clinical support as needed

  • Other responsibilities as directed by clinical manager or other senior management

  • Friday, 9:30 am

  • 6:00 pm

Required Qualifications

  • Current active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in working state

  • Associates degree from a accredited college

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical/surgical clinical setting

  • At least 1 year of internal experience or equivalent Specialty Pharmacy experience

  • At least one year or more of experience leading employees

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more of experience working as an appeals nurse

  • Ability to work with very little supervision

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Familiar with Microsoft windows applications, Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing

Education

  • Associates in Nursing from an accredited college

EOE Responsibilities As a Clinical Team Leader with Encompass Health, you will assist the Branch Director by ensuring the overall coordination of home health services to all clients is delivered according to acceptable standards of practice. The CTL is responsible for the electronic review and approval of all patient information submitted by the Licensed Professional (LP) during a Start of Care, Recertification, Resumption of Care, or Evaluation visit. The CTL assists with case conference, reviews and approves orders, in addition to providing oversight of patient care. The CTL is responsible for assisting the Branch Director with day-to-day office and staff management related to patient care and assists the Branch Director to provide ongoing education and training to all branch clinicians to ensure understanding of documentation requirements to meet regulatory standards. The CTL contributes to the overall company success of providing A Better Way To Care by effectively facilitating the relationship between physicians, referral sources, patients, caregivers and employees.
