Clinical Team Assistant (CTA) to Medical Assistant (MA) Program

LincolnHealth in Damariscotta, Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockland and Waldo County General in Belfast offer a 16-week Medical Assistant certification program. You will apply for the program at this link.

Selected applicants are interviewed and if hired, will attend the Medical Assistant certification program at either LincolnHealth or Waldo County General Hospital (Pen Bay applicants will be assigned to closest location, when possible.) This is a 16-week, 40 hour per week program: 24 hours per week in class/clinicals/labs/homework and 16 hours per week in the provider practice. Our next cohort is scheduled to start on Monday, June 17th.

You are welcome to apply to any open Medical Assistant or CTA position. The pay rate while you are in the program is $19.14/hour. You will be eligible for full-time benefits.

Once you successfully complete all program and work requirements, you will sit for the NHA Medical Assistant Certification exam to become a Medical Assistant I. As a Medical Assistant I there is an expected work commitment of at least 2 years.
