Clinical Support Technician/Unit Secretary Position Summary Under the specific direction of the Nurse, the CST/Unit Secretary performs a variety of functions that support patient care within the unit.# The CST/Unit Secretary assists with general patient care, data collection, documentation, application of monitoring devices, communicates patient data to nurse, stocks necessary equipment and supplies in patient rooms.

Additionally, the CST/Unit Secretary will assist in the patient documentation preparation for admissions, discharges and transfers.

The employee will demonstrate knowledge in the current concepts of his/her field and is responsible for providing quality service to patients and families.# Clinical Support Technician/Unit Secretary Position Requirements Previous CNA/EMT experience preferred Basic Computer knowledge Medical Terminology preferred High School graduate or equivalent required.# CNA/EMT certification preferred with previous experience as a nursing assistant, home health aide, EMT or other healthcare-related education considered.# Clinical Support Technician/Unit Secretary Work Schedule May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. Scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Required to work weekends per unit need.

Expected to work overtime on occasion.   • Previous CNA/EMT experience preferred
