This is a Day Shift, 12 Hour, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM hourly position.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Support Supervisor supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

What you will do in this role:

• Performs rounds on each nursing unit.

• Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.

• Identify New Grad nursing educational needs.

• Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.

• Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree required; Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred

• 2+ years experience as an RN

• 1+ years experience in a leadership role preferred

• 1+ years experience as a preceptor preferred

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required

• AHA BLS required

• ACLS required

• Preceptor Training - within 90 days

• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - within 30 days

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - within 90 days

• Business Emergency Response Training (BERT) - within 90 days

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - within 12 months

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - within 12 months
